The International Finals have started. It's being held at Key Arena (old home of the Sonics) in Seattle.
http://www.dota2.com/international/overview/

This tournament is gigantic, it has a prize pool over $10,000,000 (yeah over 10 million). It's a great moment for gaming, and the prizepool and venue has gotten the attention of some major news and media outlets.

If you have the slightest interest in professional gaming, I highly suggest you check it out over the weekend or the grand final on Monday. ESPN 2 is running a preview of the finals Sunday night at 11:30EST, if you'd like to watch it on cable. ESPN3 will be showing the grand final as well.

I highly suggest you watch the games in the Dota 2 client. You can choose what commentator you'd like to listen to, move the camera around yourself, or watch from any player perspective you prefer. It's amazing from a spectator viewpoint. The game itself is completely free, and you can download it here -- http://store.steampowered.com/app/570/

If you'd prefer an easy way to watch
The Main Stream - http://www.twitch.tv/dota2ti
The Newcomer Stream - http://www.twitch.tv/dota2ti_noob (This stream is great for people who don't know much about Dota. They explain most of everything that's going on, why the heroes were picked, what they are doing, the items and what they do)

If you have any questions about it, leave a question on the thread or message me on Steam (http://steamcommunity.com/id/salao) or in vent.

As much as I complained about it, I loved using Judgment on CD in DS for mana. I also loved trying to figure out a way to get in melee range for auto attacks for mana. Both have now been removed.

This is what ESPN 8, The Ocho, was made for, right?

I kid the DOTA guys. Glad THIS is where it's going to start. Calling it now, this will start the trend of professional gaming becoming legit to the naysayers.

I agree, it's a huge step for all of gaming to be picked up by ESPN. It will be the trend to pick up more and more events like this (International, LCS, Hearth), it is the future.

I love watching these two teams play one another, they're on a next level when it comes to drafts. It's like watching where Dota will be in 6 months.
